Commissions are open once again!
This time around, I decided to organize my options a little better, as well as get rid of model sheets (they weren’t that popular anyway).
I’m willing to draw practically anything (including trademark characters, OCs, anthro, mecha/robots, and even smut/nsfw!) except for what’s stated in the “More Info” box. Contact me at one of my emails or send me a note or ask if you have any questions! I’m quite flexible with what I’m willing to draw, so don’t be shy. :)
I’ll be opening 20 slots this time around, as my last trip hospital kinda set me back in my job, and I can use the money right now. You’re free to request multiple drawings under one slot, if you so desire! I’ll close up shop once ll 20 slots are filled! If you can’t afford to buy a drawing from me at this time, please reblog or spread the word about these. I’d definitely appreciate it!!!
I love that pencil brush you used on that recent pic you did of shelby. Do you have it for download? Ive been looking for good PS pencil brushes but none seem to pop up that I like.
I used Paint Tool Sai and a custom pencil brush I made on that Shelby drawing, not Photoshop.
Here are the settings I used to make that brush!
Are there any tips or advice you can give on staying motivated when it comes to making art and drawing? I haven't really been feeling as happy or determined when it comes to it.
I find that the best way to stay motivated is to do the things you love. If you love watching movies, then treat yourself to the movie theater! If you love video games, then get yourself that one game you’ve been dying to play! If you enjoy theater, then pay a visit to your local performing arts center and watch a performance!
If you feel like the reason for your lack of motivation is due to overworking yourself, then don’t be afraid to take a break from your art for a while. Burnout is a common occurrence among creative individuals. After a few days of relaxation and doing other things you like, you’ll feel much better when you sit back down in your workspace and start drawing again!
How can I draw various facial structures/chins and eyes without deviating too far from my style?
First off, try drawing various faces/eyes AS FAR AWAY FROM YOUR STYLE AS POSSIBLE. This’ll help your brain think outside your comfort zone and keep you from unintentionally using the drawing formulas you’re already familiar with. Also, when learning to draw something new, draw from references, not from memory! You’re free to draw from memory once you understand the thing you’re learning to draw inside and out, and the shapes and forms that make it up!
Once you know how to properly draw something, then you can apply it to your style fairly easily. It’s actually much easier to learn this way than it is to immediately try adapting new things to your own style without actually knowing how to properly draw them first.
#metal gear solid
"Ever since the day I killed The Boss with my own hands, I… was already dead."
I recently got into the Metal Gear series, and let me tell you, IT’S AMAZING. The lore is vast and engaging, the writing is superb, and the characters are some of the best in all of fiction. I could talk on and on about it all day.
And don’t get me started with Big Boss. OH MY GOODNESS. I find that the best villains are the ones I can sympathize with.
A preview of some of the stuff I’ve been doing! Most of these will be posted on Goopbloop once they’re finished.
(uh oh, seems like I use the “hands on hips” pose a little too much. I need to practice my posing, methinks.)
Back from Hiatus!
I feel like I’ve stabilized myself enough to be able to get back to updating regularly online once more. Hooray! So, what did I miss?
Here’s what I managed to do during the short time I was gone:
- Organize my weekly schedule to fit everything I need to do neatly
- Set up a study schedule to be prepared for when I retake the NCLEX
- Come up with relaxation techniques to do whenever I feel overwhelmed or stressed out
It may not seem like much, but I feel so much better now that things are going more smoothly! I definitely needed this break. I feel slightly refreshed, and I can’t wait to start working on new art.
Now, that being said, there are a few updates to some of my blogs:
RedBlooperStuff: I want my tumblr experience to be as inspiring and positive as possible, and I want my followers’ experience to be positive as well. So, from now on I’ll do my best to make this blog politically, religiously, and philosophically neutral. I won’t be sharing any personal opinions on ANY subject matter on here, nor will I be reblogging current world events or conflicts. Only things that inspire me or that’ll be beneficial to my followers will be reblogged. I’ll still post health-related posts if I feel like it’s necessary to notify you guys, as well as important announcements. If you REALLY want to know how I feel about something, then simply note me privately on dA. Also, I’ll be trimming the blogs I follow to just art, inspiration, and “f*ckyeah” blogs.
Goopbloop: No major changes here. However, I’ve decided to set a goal for myself: Post something on here at least once a day! A Daily Draw Challenge, if you will. I’ll go into detail on this later today.
Some practice with textured coloring, as well as a new pencil brush I created.
(I’m not back from hiatus yet, but I just wanted to post SOMETHING. I miss updating this place, but I still some have things to care of!)
